FLP was inspired by Bentley & Kayla and a deep desire to find a way to help save more dogs like them. We adopted Bentley after his mom had been left tied to a tree. He was just 8 weeks old when he came home to us. We adopted Kayla about 7 years later snd she was about 4 years old. She had been bred, used as a bait dog and dumped and had waited almost 2 years with a rescue to find a home. I know it sounds cliche, but they made us a family and I can't imagine life without them.

Years ago I started photographing dogs hoping that I could bring awareness to shelter over population, the negatives of dog breeding, breed discrimination and breed specific legislation. I would reach out to people in hopes of photographing their dogs and sharing their rescue stories. And then I took it one step further, I opened a tiny shop with items for dog lovers that donates to rescues for every purchase. A huge WHY - to donate to rescues and help alleviate costs associated with saving more dogs. More dogs like my Bentley and Kayla. More dogs that deserve a second chance.

About a year ago, we lost Bentley. Losing him was devastating. And ultimately it forced me to take a step back from the shop. I started this with him, because of him. So after losing him I wasn't sure if I could keep doing it. But now, I want to do it in his memory. To help rescues save more dogs like him and help them have a second chance at a better life.

EVERY MONTH WE WORK WITH A DIFFERENT RESCUE, RESCUES FROM ALL ACROSS THE COUNTRY, AND DONATE TWO POUNDS OF DOG FOOD TO THEM FOR EVERY ORDER. SINCE WE STARTED, WE’VE DONATED 730 POUNDS .

Here's to fighting the good fight to protect our pups and give other amazing pups a second chance at a much better life!

A shop for a cause.
